The end of the year is looming, and it's time to enjoy Christmas and New Year. It is also time to look back at this year. Do you feel gratitude? What were your highlights? Is there anything you would like to change in the upcoming year? Have you set new goals? Would you want to improve your diet or get more active?

Let's take a short moment and think about what makes us feel grateful and happy.

Current happiness status

Often when we think of the past, the first thing to come to our mind is what went wrong. And what we could have done better. But how about turning things around and ponder what things are you currently happy within your life?

When we think positively about the good things that already exist in our lives, it is easier to see what makes us happy and what we need to improve. It is useless to feel guilty about the past because we cannot change it. Therefore let's shift the focus to the moment and the future.

Gratitude

Are you happy right now? I know this is a general question, but also simple. If you feel contradiction and "semi-happiness," is there something in your life to improve your happiness? Something you would like to change?

Happiness and gratitude can also consist of little daily stuff: a successful workout or a tasty lunch. When we often think of happiness, we think of a relationship, our living situation, or appearance. However, happiness and satisfaction start by noticing this moment.

When we see the little things around us, it also increases our joy. It is easier to make lasting changes whether we talk about starting exercising more regularly or managing better eating habits if we are generally enjoying life.

Motivation and joy consist of this moment. Look around and notice the little things in life. If you want a change in life, do it by being content with the moment. We wish you a Merry Christmas and of course, a Happy New Year!
